Pro/Wireless 2200bg Driver

OK I’m having problem with my wireless adapter. The symptoms seem to be a little inconsistent so before I give too much detail I’ll give you the short version first. When the computer first boots it ether doesn’t find any wireless signals or can’t connect going into an endless cycle of acquiring a network address of witch it never finds. If you boot up with an Ethernet cable connected it all seems ok and will connect to wireless just fine. If you unplug the data cable it will continue to have connectivity for some time until it drops for no apparent reason, or you reboot without the data cable attached. I’ve tried two or three different drivers. Two of them are Intel Pro/Wireless 2200 BG Network Connection Version 9.0.4.8 Date 1-17-2006, and Version 9.0.4.39 Date 12-19-2007. I have been told a driver from Intel Version 9.0.4.37 Date 7-25-2007 will work but I can't find it in the Intel site. I need to know if you have a download link for that driver?  I don’t know if this is a hardware or software problem but I also need to know what driver should work with this laptop? I have more information about error messages from the event viewer and some services that don’t startup, but for now this is my system info.

IBM Thinkpad X32

Windows XP Pro SP3

Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG Network Connector

Netgear N750 router with WPA 2-PSK(AES)

If you need more information let me know what you need and how to find it

Thanks
